Appeals on Surgery Denials

We have found recently that the patients have better success in getting their denials on Bariatric surgery overturned by filing a patient appeal. If you have been denied for surgery, we will file an appeal if we have additional documentation to support an appeal. We would suggest that you the patient also file an appeal. We can give you copies of any documentation in your chart that you may need. Call your insurance company and ask them what the process would be for you to file a patient appeal.
