Dr. Baker is involved in research all over the world and presents his findings in France, Spain, Tokyo, and at the ASMBS conferences. Currently Dr. Baker and his partners are working on the Full Sense Device through BFKW LLC. He and his wife, Dawn, have nine children. Dr. Baker is a gifted pianist and enjoys singing southern gospel music with his family.

Personal Bio

Dr. Bushman is a general surgeon with special interest in reflux disease and bariatric surgery. He is a recent newlywed who is setting down permanent roots in West Michigan. He is a big sports fan and enjoys playing hockey, soccer, golf, and softball, and he also enjoys hiking and takes any opportunity to head up to northern Michigan to enjoy the outdoors.

Personal Bio

Paul Kemmeter, M.D., F.A.C.S. received his B.S. from the University of Michigan and his M.D. degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery for Michigan State College of Human Medicine and previously served as the Associate Program Director of the GRMERC-MSU General Surgery residency program. Dr. Kemmeter is the chair of the Community/Independent Practice committee of the ASMBS and is on the executive committee of the Michigan Bariatric Surgery Collaborative. He also previously served as the medical director of Bariatric Surgery at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s in Grand Rapids, MI and the Upper Peninsula Health System in Marquette, MI. Along with performing vertical sleeve gastrectomy, roux-en-Y gastric bypass, biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch, and bariatric revision surgery, he also performs other Advanced Laparoscopic procedures.

Personal Bio

Dr. Krebill was born in Donnellson, Iowa where he grew up helping manage the family farm and livestock feed store. After obtaining his undergraduate and Doctor of Medicine degrees at the University of Iowa, he completed his training with the Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners-Michigan State University General Surgery Residency. He provides general surgery and bariatric surgery services in both Grand Rapids and Grand Haven. He currently lives in the Grand Rapids area with his wife and three children. During time away from work he enjoys the outdoors, traveling with family, reading, weight training, and staying active through sports

He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, running, scuba diving, skiing, and many other hobbies.  He is a commercial pilot and donates time to Wings of Mercy, which provides free air transportation to patients who need treatment at distant medical facilities.
